Formerly the multi-instrumentalist of The Barleycorns and The Shanty Tones , two of New Jersey's original Celtic rock bands of the 1990's, Behan appeared on various CDs as a guest musician over the past twelve years. He continues writing and playing contemporary Celtic and Rock music with some punk influences. He is currently playing with various musicians in and around the New York City area. Behan plays all the instruments on most of these tracks including, guitars, mandolin, cittern, uilleann pipes (Irish bellowed bagpipes), tin whistles, accordion, bodhran (Celtic drum), keyboards and even didgeridoo (Australian Aboriginal instrument).
